I got Band 6 in Speaking and need 6.5. Should I request an EOR?
An Enquiry on Results (EOR) is worth considering if you believe your performance was stronger than the score awarded, but an increase is not guaranteed. IELTS requires an EOR request within six weeks of the test date. The fee is refunded if your score goes up; the reported score does not decrease as a result of the remark.
Another possibility is IELTS One Skill Retake, where available, for eligible computer-based tests within 60 days. Before choosing it, check whether the organisation receiving your results accepts One Skill Retake. Compare the costs, time limits and your own assessment of the test performance.
