My Listening score stays around Band 6.5–7 despite regular practice. What should I change?

Stop measuring progress only by how many tests you complete. Review every incorrect answer and classify the cause: missing a paraphrase, losing concentration, not recognising a word, following a distractor, spelling mistakes or breaking the word-limit instruction.

Replay the relevant section with the transcript until you can explain exactly why the answer is correct. Then listen once more without the transcript. After several tests, look for recurring patterns and target them with short exercises.

A focused review of one difficult recording can teach you more than another full mock test.
